Introducing R.O. Writer Version 3
The R.O. Writer team is happy to announce the release of R.O. Writer Version 3: the next iteration of our leading auto shop management software. As part of our continued commitment to providing the best management tools for our customers’ auto repair shops, we have developed new features and improvements for R.O. Writer Version 3.
In this update, we’ve worked to improve usability by redesigning features for ease of use. Additionally, R.O. Writer Version 3 ensures your data is never lost with scheduled automatic back-ups to a USB drive, Network Drive, FTP Server, or to another computer in your network.
R.O. Writer Version 3 also focuses on increasing profitability through more precise resource and employee management. With the update, shops can lock external part and labor prices to ensure there are no errors in pricing. It also includes a simplified timeclock to make it easier for employees to clock in and out.
Some of the other new and improved features in R.O. Writer Version 3 include:
Smart Oil and Smart Fluids
Quickly complete oil change jobs by using Smart Oil to find the recommended oil type, viscosity, capacity, and drain plug torque based on the vehicle. Maintain your profit margin by automatically increasing the price of oil changes when the car requires additional oil.
The Smart Fluids feature enables shops to build transmission and coolant flush jobs in seconds.
Tire Quote
R.O. Writer Version 3 includes the ability to look up tire parts from multiple tire distributors. It also allows shop owners to quickly review their own tire inventory and take advantage of distributor rebates.
Features for Multi-Shop Owners
Stay organized by easily updating your data from R.O. Writer to Central Office with the new one-click option in the main toolbar. Plus, R.O. Writer Version 3 allows owners to control how conflicting data is resolved during both manual and automatic data transmissions.
Expanded Reporting Options
New reports include Declined Services report, Customer Vehicle Inspection Report, and Customer Birthday Report. The Sales Summary Report payment section has been enhanced to provide easier reconciliation of RO payments, advanced payments, and AR payments.
Catalog Improvements
R.O. Writer Version 3 features improvements to the ALLDATA and MyPlace4Parts catalog integrations and includes a brand-new integration with Transtar’s transend catalog.
On top of the above-listed new features and enhancements, R.O. Writer is planning to release an online appointment feature in the near future. Most of all, we are excited to continue innovating and improving our software, leading to increased profits, higher sales, more accurate inventory tracking, and overall better quality for our customers.
