Program Overview
Automotive repair facilities using RO Writer may send customers transactional text messages related to vehicle service and repair activity. These messages are informational only and may include:
- Vehicle repair status updates
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Service due or maintenance reminders
- Notifications related to estimates, approvals, or completed work
Message frequency varies based on customer interaction and vehicle service activity.
How You Opt In to Receive Text Messages
Customers provide consent to receive SMS text messages before any messages are sent using one or more of the following methods:
- In‑Person Written Consent
By signing a paper repair order that clearly discloses consent to receive SMS text messages. - Electronic Signature Consent
By signing a digital repair order or authorization screen presented by the automotive repair facility that includes SMS text messaging disclosure. - Customer‑Initiated Text Message
By sending a text message to the automotive repair facility’s phone number, which constitutes express consent to receive transactional SMS responses.
Consent is collected directly by the automotive repair facility at the time of service and applies only to that facility.
Opt‑Out Instructions
You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying with any of the following keywords:
STOP, STOPALL, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, or REVOKE
After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from that facility unless you re‑subscribe.
